Don Hyatt is a well known Victorian Skeptic having served on the Victorian Committee and convened the Australian Skeptics National Convention in 2012. He founded the Skeptic Groups of Victoria which he still convenes.
Don taught and occupied a variety of educational roles for over 30 years in Victorian schools where he was actively involved in curriculum development with particular interest in science education.
He spent time in Curriculum & Research Branch of the Education Department and as Education Officer at the CSIRO Science Education Centre.
He was the Foundation National Director of Australian Science in Schools Weeks, now National Science Week.
He is a past President of the Science Teachers’ Association of Victoria, co-author of several chemistry texts and sat on the national body developing the principles for the determination of Highly Accomplished Teachers of Science.
He holds an M. Ed from Melbourne University on learning development in the transition from Child Science to Teacher Science.
In his spare time he is currently Victorian Chairman of the Australian Shareholders Association.
